Director of Safety and Sustainability

Denver Zoo’s Facilities department has an opportunity for a full time Director of Safety and Sustainability to oversee the direction and managing the implementation of the zoo’s environmental, health and safety, and sustainability programs as managed and maintained in the zoo’s third party certified Campus Management System (ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001).

The programs managed by this position include but are not limited to: environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance, resource conservation, climate action planning, social sustainability, responsible procurement programs, resiliency planning, program auditing, communication, training and community education.  Candidates should have at least six years of job experience in sustainability and EHS field and three of experience in supervisory or team management.
