Preventative Maintenance Manager

Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager that has proven history of your abilities to coordinate the preventative maintenance activities for a high paced maintenance department? We are seeking a skilled and qualified candidate that would be responsible for programming and ensuring the completion of preventative, deep maintenance, and phased replacement of equipment and systems throughout the Zoo. This role would manage and maintain the technical library to include operator’s manuals, technical manuals, and Zoo master specification documents. Candidates must maintain a Texas Driver’s license and comply with driving policy.

Responsibilities
• Develops and maintains preventative maintenance programs and systems for the Zoo to include but not limited to: building and exhibit inspections, HVAC systems, LSS systems, heavy equipment, generators, fleet management, shop tools, individual power tools and materials.
• Coordinates the efficient operation of preventive maintenance activities throughout the Zoo
• Compiles, prepares, and submits required reports for preventative, deep maintenance, and phased replacement of equipment and systems.
• Manages technical information and records for equipment and systems
• Mentors and educates facilities staff on proper maintenance techniques and standards
• Reviews and approves shop projects for Zoo specifications
• Conducts inventories on a scheduled and random recurring basis.

Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.); or five years related management experience in facilities management, construction, engineering technology and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
