Facilities Tech

Position Description:
This position possesses skills and knowledge for the performance of repairing, modifying, installing, and preventive maintenance for 2 (two) or more of the following trades: Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, Water Quality, Mechanical, Masonry, Metalwork, Equipment Operation, and Electronics.  Specifically, experience and/or training for both planned maintenance and emergency repairs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and codes is required. The nature of the job requires the employee to be multi-skilled professionals.  Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: completing work assignments for the maintenance of our grounds and facilities, inspections of facilities, rides, systems, etc., and collaboration with specialized technicians with their work assignments.  May be assigned work associated with an area of specialized knowledge.  The potential candidate must possess a good working knowledge of all aspects of maintaining our facilities to include Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, Water Quality, Mechanical, Masonry, Metalwork, Equipment Operation, Electronics, and general repairs.  A preference may be given to any candidates that have maintenance skills that are general in nature, but with an emphasis on mechanical repair and preventative maintenance (inspection and maintenance of building envelopes, roofs, and structural elements, etc.).  The position will be required to follow the standards of safety, cleanliness, and employee training set by the department.  Applicants must have excellent command of oral and written interpersonal skills and a strong drive to learn and succeed.

This is a full time, collective bargaining unit position with benefits. Hourly pay rate of $14.90 to $16.40, depending upon experience per union contract. This position work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off.
