Zoo Director

The City of El Paso is recruiting for a highly qualified, experienced, and innovative professional to join the Zoo Department as the Zoo Director. The successful candidate would manage zoological operations and development of the Zoo Department. In addition, the candidate will establish and maintain quality facilities and programs and a safe animal and visitor environment.

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in zoo management, veterinary medicine, business or public administration, and eight (8) years of zoological operation experience, including four (4) years management experience.

Licenses and Certificates: A Texas Class “C” Driver’s License or equivalent from another state.

Salary range: $103,025.36 – $161,749.81 per year
The starting salary is generally at the beginning of the salary range.
